As an independant producer, what kind of program would you develop for the networks?

Television these days are horrible, it is all "reality" t.v which in the end, is fake. If I was an independant producer I would definately be a host of a talk show, some what similar to Tyra Banks. I would bring to life real every day topics that happens here at home, and topics that any audience can relate to or hold an interest in, whether it be towards teenagers, mothers, fathers, gays, or straight.
Documentaries are extremely appealing to audiences considering you have actual footage and it is not staged nor fake. The fact that I hold an extreme interest into Polygamy, and human trafficking, I think I would do a couple of shows concerning those two specific topics. I think too many realities get shoved under the bed and no one really sees what is going on right here in America,.By hosting my own television show, I would bring these realities to life and show people a lot more than they anticipated. I would love to go to where some of the polygamist live and if they cooperate, interview them. It's real issues like these that will get the ratings, not like Jerry Springer, or the Simpsons, or reality shows like Tila Tequila, Maury, which have no intellectual meaning behind it.
We need television that broadens and expand our mind, television that isn't trash but instead something you are able to learn from. With my show, instead of people looking at television as bad and too many hours spent wasted, it will be looked at as well great hours watched that people are actually learning from.
I would also focus on aspects that our teenagers are facing today, issues ranging from eating disorders, drugs, sex, rape etc. A lot of people aren't able to speak about what has happened to them in life because of muliple reasons, I want to get my voice out that the first thing you should do is speak up. Evidently, I dont think that people are getting enough encouragement these days to deal with their issues, but instead to just hide them. A lot of times they are scared to tell their parents, and with my show I would build them up to get the courage to tell their parents what is going on in their life, and help them through everything.
As far as being immune to pressures that exist in this process, I personally think I wouldn't be immune because I wouldn't let anything get in my way. If I have a dream I am going to accompolish it no matter how hard it might get at times, or what people have to say.

Are you primarily a commercial AM, commercial FM, or noncommercial FM listener? Which are your favorite formats? Why?

Considering I am not musically inclined what so ever, AM, FM, noncommercial, commercial really doesn't apply to me too much, nor do I care whether a commercial interrupts our horrible music generation these days. Although if I had to choose, I would stick with FM. I do have to admit that on the way to school I listen to 93.3, which is a Tampa radio station and I enjoy listening to their morning shows and numerous amounts of topics they discuss. This station gets into politics, to personal issues, gas prices, just many general issues that anyone who tunes in is able to some how relate to, whether it be from their past or present.
I am sure I can account for everyone that in their cars they do indeed have their favorite station channeled into 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 , so they can immediately access it by pressing the specific number of the station they want to listen to. My number one that I listen to on a daily basis is in fact Z 88.3. I have followed this station ever since I was young, and my parents are the ones who introduced me to it. What I like about this station is one, that they are a non-profit corporation as well as commercial free. They have it where there is absolutely no profanity and any ages are able to listen to it. This station promotes good intentions, they offer beautiful music, and lessons everyday for frequent listeners. I like listening to their music because I view it as real music, real voices with out all of this new technology changing everything like all of the other stations do. Also I am a Christian and Z 88.3 is a Christian radio station, so listening to them really takes me back from all of the music and awful lyrics that are being played on other stations.
Another FM station that I tune into is Power 95.3. Although I am not crazy about all the music they play because I view our music now a days as pathetic, and basically any music people make becomes an instant hit, even if its the most awful song imaginable, it will make radio. What I do like about 95.3 is they have young hosts, they let you know what is going on that night, or who is going to be in town, they always inform you on whats "poppin" and the place to be. The number one aspect I love about this station is of course the Carmen call! The Carmen call is some one who prank calls people and makes jokes and gets on their last nerve, and if you are not a morning person, you should definately tune into that because they're hilarious and always wake me up from laughing so hard. Though they are not commercial free, they do have times where they have commercial free "power hour", where they do play music for an hour with out commercials.
An A.M station that I do listen to is Sean Hannity, and his channel is 580. That is probably the only A.M station that I tune into. I love Hannity because of his political backround, we share the exact same views, and I think he is an extremely intellectual person who actually knows what he is talking about. He keeps me interested, and I love all of the debates he gets into when callers that are against him call to argue and he knows how to shut them down. When listening to him it really makes you learn a lot more than you may have known about that particular topic. Hannity also has a television show that I believe comes on around nine.
My generation doesn't really contribute to what is to be considered " classics" or any thing blatently close to that. I can't say I care for more than half of the music now a days, nor do I think I ever will because all the music is just becoming worse than it already is. Now it's not even singing anymore because after all of the technology used in the song, half of the time, it isn't even the artist real voice.
If I have to have nothing on in the car, then spare me the feelings to even care.
